2017 STX package?
hey y'all. This is my 1st post, and I thought I'd make it about the truck I've had my eye on for awhile.
This would be my very 1st truck, and I have concerns about the lack of a power seat. I'm 5'11 and while I'm sure i'd feel comfortable after awhile, I think at 1st, I'd want to raise my seat. (Can you modify the drivers seat to electric? If so how much does that run?). I also am not in love with the column shifter, I'd rather have a console one but again I think I'd get used to it.

I'm the same height as you. Lack of power seat is NBD to me.
Matter of fact, i feel more comfortable on long drives on my STX with sport seats than I did in the in-law's XLT with power seats....no idea why. You don't need to raise the seat at your height. Drive the truck and see. You could always pick up used XLT power seats and they bolt/clip right in.
Get more room in the console with the column shifter, too....

Although you are questioning it now so I bet you will have regrets if you don't get the power. Retrofitting to power seats will cost you more in the long run so you may want to go down the XLT road.
Power driver seat can be bought for $300 and installed using just a extra ground and power wire I think. There is a thread on it here. I am 5'7" and felt I sat to low in the seat. I added a 1.5" thick foam pad under the OEM foam and its a perfect height for me now.
I have a 2016 XLT with the 302A package, 5.0, center console, tow pack, nav, and 20" wheels and paid the same thing. I bought mines when the 2017s were coming out so they were taking 10,000+ off the sticker of 2016s.
I got the 2018 XLSuperCab with STX pkg. new style front grill, no ugly C-clamp headlights (well less of anyway) came with backup camera, fogs, Sync 3 and nice 20" wheels I don't like any chrome, which this has very little. I'm deleting what is chrome slowly. Ford emblems in Magnetic/Black for front and back added Pro X15 Tonneau (cloth material) added Westin Raptor style sideboards. I have gatorbacks, Ford wheelwell liners, BedTred liner 12V solutions remote start, Ford accessories keypad entry all in some-form of installation process.
STX package is a great value. 20" wheels, center console, body painted bumpers. The only thing I wish it had was a power seat. We sell a ton of them.
