The auto start/stop feature on my wife's 2017 FX4 King Ranch with the 3.5TT has lost the ability to function. It's on, according to the settings, but does not work.
I'm wondering if it's because she doesn't drive it enough. We've had it 2 years this last June 28th. It has just over 6,700 miles on it.
Am wondering if the battery isn't charged up enough to allow it to function.
I will take it into the dealership I work for, and ask them, but was wondering if anyone here has had this problem.

Thanx
Funny you should as that question, by chance do you have the perimeter plus module, IE impact detection?
To the best of my knowledge yes. (It has every option for 2017, except FORD bedliner, (we went with line-x premium), bed divider, bed extender, and ramps.)
I also googled this question, and it's possible it is a battery. HOWEVER, wife don't drive it often enough possibly.

It's might be that module causing an issue. I was doing something with Forscan and I reset my PCM and PDM. Remote start stopped working. Also, when I disconnected the battery the same thing happen. It's a really easy fix, you just unplug a wire and plug it back in. Do you know where the ODBII port is on the truck?
Look to see if you have a cable like this below? It will go from the truck to the daughter cable (with a secondary pig tail). If it does unplug the cable between the truck and the ODBII connector. Wait about 15 to 20 seconds and then try remote start. If it work, just plug the cable back in. That module has remote start too and it can interfere with the onboard remote start.
I might have mixed up something, is it remote start or ***? I know if the battery is low *** will not work, also, if it's in sport/tow haul and if it thinks you have a trailer attached.
