Default Mobil 1 question

I will soon be ordering a 2020 F-150 SuperCrew Lariat 4x4 with the 2.7L engine.
I'm planning on using Mobil 1 engine oil that meets the Ford WSS-M2C946-B1 specifactions.
What my questions is, which Mobil 1 oil is correct, there are so many types.
I'm thinking 5W-30 Advanced Full Synthetic and changing every 5,000.
Does this sound right to you?

There is a sticky few posts above with all oil info.
I change mine when the truck tells me too.

Your manual will specify both the oil and the interval. If it doesn't change, it will be 5w-30 and when the IOLM tells you to, which is no later than 10,000 miles / 1 year,
whichever comes first.

You can download the manual at owner.ford.com

I have already downloaded the 2019 manual and looked it up and it calls for 5W-30 for the 2.7L.
I am also aware of the IOLM, but just feel better at changing every 5,000 miles because of the turbos.
My real question is the type of Mobil 1 oil. Mobil 1 website list many for the 2.7. Examples are Annual Protection, Extended Performance, Advanced Full Synthetic, andSuper Synthetic,

IMO going full synthetic is in your best interest. Everyone here will have an opinion. Do what you think is best. Even if you decide to follow the OLM it has been shown through oil analysis that it is best to change the Original oil by 5K miles.

5w30 no fancy anyrhing needed. I use the regular Mobil 1 full synthetic and change when the truck tells me too.

Check out the 100,000 mile 2.7 thread. He also changes oil when the truck tells him and I think he is near 300,000 miles by now.

The turbos are mounted to water cooled exhaust manifolds that greatly improve cooling over oil cooling only.

Dont over complicate things.

I use the Advanced Full Synthetic. The IOLM is nothing more than a odometer for mine. I stick with 5K intervals as well. Never once in 78K has the monitor shown anything other than 50% when I change the oil.

Its funny seeing everyone respond without answering your specific question... I too wonder what the differences are. I think some of their other offerings are geared towards older and higher mileage vehicles. I just did my 4th change and decided to switch from Motorcraft to Mobil 1, Costco had a decent sale for 6 quarts so that's what I got. Its their basic full synthetic 5W-30. That's what I will stick to.

Not bad, I want to say it was 28.00 at Costco but it had all 6 quarts. From what I've seen, it seems to always be on sale at least somewhere so pricing should be consistent which is nice. Since I change every 6000-7000 I'm not too worried about a few bucks either.
