This is not true in my experience. I have X-Plan access (and pricing from X-Plan matches the current Friends and Family automatically available on the ford.com builder). My truck, as built, comes out to $40,551.00 on X-Plan, but dealer invoice from my actual order is $40,425.97.
Friends and Family (X-Plan) is great for people who don't want to hassle with negotiation or seeking out the best deal, but you can always beat it with a little leg work.
Every Ford dealership has a form that shows invoice, x-plan, and a-plan. Every new vehicle I have purchased I was always allowed to see the form (sometimes given to) and x-plan was always under invoice. I've built a few vehicles online & those numbers were always around about what it would be never exact.

I'm thinking this is what I found when I was doing my research. I knew my X-Plan price and emailed a half dozen dealers to see where the came in without telling them I had X-Plan. Most of the dealers came right in around the X-Plan price, within a few hundred dollars. I played that to a couple dealerships that I liked and one was way cooler than the other soooo they sold a truck that day.
Anyway, just heard back from Chad and he says the truck is in transit. ETA 11/26.
Heard from dealer today, my truck is at the shipping company, it will be on a truck and delivered one day next week 11/16 -20. Order 10/01, build 11/07.
Mine is somehow still "In Production", after being built on 10/26.
I checked another dealer ordered truck going to my dealer, and it was built on 10/24. It's in transit with an ETA of 11/22. Looks like I won't see mine until after Thanksgiving now.
Picked it up yesterday, just in time for a drive up north to the Notre Dame game today! Ordered: 10/8 Built: 11/9 Delivered: 11/12 Brought home: 11/13 Lots of mods to come. Hope everyone's truck start pouring in soon.
How do you like sync 3? Do both seats have the cooling tsb done?
COTUS has not worked for me. ETIS updated yesterday morning with all my details (more than just build date). Chad says my order is in the "Awaiting shipment" status...
The question is when will it update with the correct identification for Supercrew's. Mine still shows as a double cab, which when I first saw it caused me to freak out before the window sticker was available.
