2016 SYNC3 Bluetooth Diconnecting Repeatedly
#11
Same Issue for me.
'16 F150 Platinum
Drops bluetooth randomly all the time. Have to turn off bluetooth on my Galaxy S7 and on the radio menu for a few minutes and then turn them both on. SOMETIMES that fixes it and sometimes I have to turn the truck off and restart.
Does it on both my S7 and my wifes S6
My guess is its a problem with the head unit.....

Same issue.
Drops BT on my previous iPhone 6 and new iPhone 7 Plus. Can wait a minute and then reselect the BT source and it starts again.
Sync 3 w/ Nav.

Do the 1.1 update, it actually helps with BT. (dealer only)
I added the USB hub (the one mentioned elsewhere on the forum) and that cleared up my USB connectivity issues...despite the "unsupported device" message I get intermittently.

Hey everyone!
gopherman is correct. If you have SYNC 3, the dealer can update the system to 1.1. This update fixes the issues you're experiencing.
Thanks. Have you tried a master reset: https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-...ter-reset.html

I am having this issue with my Note 4. I have been told by the dealer this is an update but they will have to charge. I find that crazy talk with a 45-50k truck... It is really great in the middle of a call to a potential client...

Hi NA&CH,
Version 1.1 is for vehicles with SYNC 3. Which system do you have: owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/all/setup/how-to-identify-your-sync-version.html

After more than a year of problem free Bluetooth connection in my truck I started having connection issues with my Moto Z Force. I thought my phone was bad and Verizon thought so as well. New phone, same problem. Last night I deleted my phone and now it won't even pair. Tried my wife's phone with the same results. Master reset didn't help. I'll be contacting my Ford dealership this morning and see if I can get it looked at.

My wife's my ford touch in her MKZ does what you are describing all the time. I finally found the fuse to pull to reboot the system and that does the trick. Master reset also did not help her car. Had to pull the fuse, which then let her phone reconnect and let us add new phones with new problems...

I had a Samsung galaxy S7Edge and never had any problems with my 16 Lariat and now I switched over to a IPhone 7 and no issues. Are you still running the factory Sync 3 V1 or did you do the upgrade that is running around out there? I decided not to upgrade and I'll wait for Ford to release it, so that I wont have problems like this.
