Default 2016 Door Lock Code

Silly question - Dealer told me they lost the card that has my door lock code on it....I'm none too pleased with their service department as they said they were too busy to hook it up to the computer and find it out when I picked the truck up. Now I call to see if I can come in on a lunch hour to have this done, but no, their guys go out at lunch... Anyways, does anyone know if I'm able to retrieve this myself? I've read some info online, but can't find any info specific to a 15/16 model. Its an XLT with those "switchblade" style keys, if that makes a difference. Really hoping to be able to get this figured out, as I'd love to spite them and take care of this rather than be at their mercy..

I thought there was a way you could contact Ford Service with your VIN and they could provide the factory code. I may be imagining this though. I might be confusing two different services.

Anyway, I'm sure someone will chime in.

If I remember correctly, there is a fuse box on the floor near the door on the passenger side, on the back of the fuse box there should be a sticker with the default code.

Mine was left out of the owners manual. I had to go back to the dealer. They fortunately found it. I would ask for the GM of the dealership and tell him to get you the code.

Yeah this......I am pretty sure it can be located by the VIN.

This is correct. It is hard to read but your factory code is on a sticker on that box.

Insert one key and turn to on, turn back off, then insert other key and turn on. Factory code will pop up on screen.

Then use that code to program your own that you can remember.

I had same problem, left card sitting on sales desk. Had to go back twice, first time their laptop was broken, second time took about 45 mins!

But then after all that, learned about and tried the above and it gave me a different code from the one they gave me and they both worked. I also added my own code and the other 2 still work as well.
