Default 2015 - Hail

Thought I would post this experience here considering everyones different take on the new aluminum body
About a month ago I had a severe hail storm, golf ball size for about 30 minutes and my truck got hammered on for that time! NOT ONE DENT! Everyone on my street who had cars out has dents, some extremely bad. Neighbor has a couple year old expedition that has at least 50 dents.

Glad to see the marketing isn't BS!

WOW! Good to hear!
That's one thing that scares me when a storm approaches. Only once in my lifetime I seen a hail storm so bad it damaged my wife's Expedition and blew holes in the vinyl siding on the side of my house.
I hope I never see that again.

My 2015 just survived quarter sized hail this past Monday. I looked her over and didn't notice any dents.

Thanks for this post. I have scrambled several times to squeeze my truck in the garage to avoid inclement weather.

Default 2015 - Hail

That is good to hear. Just last year we had 2 storms come through that took out house windows, car windows and wrote off quite a few vehicles. Wasn't home for it thank god

Glad to hear! No hail here yet, but there was rain blowing sideways a couple weekends ago, snapping trees/branches 4-6" in diameter, couldn't see 30 feet in front of the truck. Swore I heard wood chunks bounce off the truck, but not visible signs when I got home and the rain stopped.

Was caught in pea-sized hail two days ago and was worried how it would hold up. Guess that was nothing compared to what some of you had and your truks were fine. Awesome!!!

I was caught in an unexpected hail storm yesterday. Very unusual here on the coast of SC. To my surprise no damage was done that I can see as of now.
The storm was so bad that cars were pulling off he roads and scrambling to find cover. Luckily for me, I was able to take cover at a gas station. I thought for sure I would have had a lot of damage with as much hail hit me, the amount and duration of the storm.
Well done Ford.
