Default Hail Damage

Last night a unexpected hail storm dropped close to baseball sized hail on my Dads almost brand new 2015 F150. It happened in the middle of the night and it was too late to move it when we realized it was hailing. His insurance wont cover all of the repair because it is so extensive. We guess there are at least 100 small dents all over it. I've been researching some paintless dent repair kits and just wondering if anyone has tried these out before with good results. Any specific kits that anyone recommends? I figured it would be best to try and diy and save some money if it works. Thanks

Wow, that sucks. You might try the 2015 F-150 section. Any pics?

they wont cover the damage in full because there's too much damage? I've never heard of such a thing.

Ill try to get some when he gets home but I don't have any right now. They are small dents and not sure how well they will show up in a picture. And Im not sure exactly what the insurance said to him, but he told me that they would not be able to cover all of the repair.

I had a truck before this one that had hail damage and insurance waived my deductible if I would take to Dent Wizard. They had it done in one day and never had any issues with it.

My wife's 2013 Escape got caught out in the hail and had dimples to the entire horizontal surface. About $5500 estimated. They were able to repair about 80% of it paintless. The tops of the doors had to be painted because of lack of access. After my deductible insurance took care of the rest.

Baseball sized hail should have shattered glass I'd imagine...

I've had great luck with other cars in our family with the Paintless Dent Removal for door dings and even shopping cart dents on the side of the cars. My only concern is if the tech's have experience with aluminum and if dents in aluminum come out as clean as steel.

If you have a tech that knows what he's doing....there's no way you would ever see where the dent was in a steel panel (as long as the paint's not chipped). Hope the same holds true for aluminum.
