Do raptors not have mid travel suspension? If they do would you not need to replace a lot more than shocks to make it ride the same?

I realistically want about 3-4" of lift but still make it able to perform like my old raptor if I am ever put into that situation. Eventually do some Deavers in the rear but to start just blocks and 2.5s in the rear and 2.5: up front. If I do the King 2.5's up front and have hem raised 2.75" will a rear 3" block be alright?
If you want a performance lift you could always go with a BDS 4" lift with fox 2.5 coilovers and DSC options. Then order a 2.5 rear shock or stick with the standard fox 2.0's.

Ryan,

Can you elaborate a bit more on when you say the 2.5's are better than your former Raptor off-road.

Looking to do some susp work myself.

Thanks!

personally spending a lot of time in the sand and dirt and driving both I believe the raptor is good and plush but charging hard all day they do seem to fade and are softer over the 2.5 w bypasses. I feel like the spring are a little firmer and the shocks ride more consistent throughout a long day of whoops and washes and full cycle. I will say you do feel more cracks in road compared to raptor. I think the raptor floats more and the f150w 2.5 is just more responsive and plush all the way to bumps. Just my opinion

I'd like to do a 4" Zone/BDS lift but the posts about the Boss Coilovers having a much better ride on pavement than stock have me curious. I'll be driving pavement 95% of the time and want the 4" lift for appearance/bigger tires but also would love to make the ride better than stock at the same time. Please correct me if I'm wrong but from what I've been reading here and in other posts, is that the only coilover options with a 4" lift are Fox or Icon?

There are other options I believe with a 4inch lift, Camburg has some coilovers now I believe. Fabtech has some called Dirt Logic, I would imagine King has a set that should work with a 4" lift. I have the Stage 3 Kit from Icon and honestly would like to go a little higher then 2.5" or so. I can crank them up and go higher, but right now they are in the center of travel- ideally where they should be. I would think that if you had a 4" lift kit as far as the taller steering knuckles/spindles and subframe you could add a level spacer on top of the coilovers to get the lower mount down where it needs to be to the lower control arms.

You could also order a 4" BDS lift and then order the 6" lift coilovers and crank them down some to fit. Then have an extremely smooth ride. (That's what I would do, of course I would do replacement bumpers as well if I was building a different truck.) I currently have the 6" lift with the 6" fox 2.5 coilovers. Very pleased with them.

I cannot imagine paying the amount of money some of you are for Fox, Icon and King coilovers that have a crappy warranty and have to be rebuilt about every 40,000 miles. I can understand it if you are dedicated to off-road, but weekend warriors don't fit the bill in my humble opinion. It looks like Boss and Rancho are the only ones with a limited lifetime warranty and no rebuild schedule. I may be wrong so let me know since I am in the market to level the front with a coilover.

Just because they don't have a rebuild schedule doesn't mean they wont need one... Your engine doesn't have a rebuild schedule lol.
I got a hell of a deal since I'm a dealer and I live 24/7 off road. If you tried them, you would join the dark side haha.
