My apologies if this has been answered before but I couldn’t find the answer after skimming through several threads...

I’ve had my truck 20 months and I’m leaning towards finally removing the STX decals from the bed. Did I wait too long? I don’t want to end up with an outline of where it used to be.

No. Warm them up with a hair dryer or heat gun and peel away. Remove any remaining glue with Goo Gone or Naptha and then give the area a good coat of wax.

Unless you live in the desert with a lot of UV i wouldn’t worry about it. The light shadowing will dissipate over a few weeks completely.

Thanks to both of you for your opinions. My truck has only 15k on it and spends weeks at a time hibernating in the garage as I ride my motorcycle for most of the summer.

You know you can buy replacements if it leaves an outline that is visible? On my 2007, I removed them after 7 years. No outline on the red paint.

Yes, same here, my ruby red was almost 2 years old when I took the "SPORT" stickers off of the rear quarters. I did it on a hot sunny day when it had been sitting in the sun and just peeled them off without any additional heat, they came off clean accept for a bit of residual around the edges, that came off with a bit of goo-gone, a quick coat of wax and it was like it never happened. I love the way it looks super clean without them. I also removed the little chrome "flexfuel" badge from the tailgate, I think it took longer to get the 2 sided tape off from that bugger that to do the rear quarter decals lol
