Default 2 Inch level on a 2WD question

Im looking to get a level done on my 2015, but i havent come across many threads or posts from folks who have 2WD. Since i know nothing about working on cars, ill probably have the dealership do it. They quoted me 899 to do it, which includes an alignment.

Since i have 2WD, my tires are 265/60/18 and im wanting to upgrade to 275/65/18, which is the stock size for the 4x4’s. I know the speedometer will be off, but does anyone have any stories or experience having done that upgrade? I believe 275/65/18 is a 32 inch tire. I’d like to know how the upgrade went. Im planning on throwing on the BFG A/T K02 tire when i get the level done

Also, its important to note that i dont tow anything with my truck and that it has the 2.7l ecoboost.

You should be able to find a more affordable installer. ForScan can fix your speedo.

$899 for just the level and alignment?!?!? There's nothing to putting a level on. Any tire shop should be able to do it for a fraction of that.

I plan on checking out a 4 Wheel parts store tomorrow to get a quote. Saturday is the only day that I can visit them because its just too difficult to get there during the week due to work.

Know someone that got bilstein 1500 level with alignment done for $250. I’d also recommend a 33 inch tire but that’s just my opinion.

thats another reason why i want to go to 4 Wheel Parts tomorrow, so i can talk with someone who has an idea on what they are talking about, not some greedy clueless dealership. Im open to 33’s, i just need to talk with someone in-person who is knowledgeable and can tell me what to expect

Mine cost $100. Granted I did the work myself plus paid for an alignment. Still running stockers because I’m gonna do the maxtrac spindles and block the back so I can run 35’s. You could easily run 33’s with just the level.

I’m running Goodyear duratracs 33s with no level plenty of room and they’re quiet and smooth ride.

Take a look at my build thread at the link below. I have a 2.5” front level and 1” lift shackles.

I can also
confirm that a 275/70r18, or a 275/60r20 will fit on a non-lifted 2wd. I can’t say about hard articulation, but for normal street use, they don’t rub at all.

if i did end up going with 33’s, id obviously have to get a new spare. Does a 33 fit in the spare tire mount? Regardless of what size i go with, i do have my heart set on the BFG K02’s. I just love the look of that tire.
