Default 2.7 is pretty quick

So I got a 2.7 Eco while my Platinum 5.0 is in the shop for a few warranty repairs. I gotta say this this is very quick. Much quicker than my 5.0 or at least it seems. Both my truck and the rental have 3.55 rear end. Sure hope the new 3.5 Eco runs even better.

I think the 2.7 is quicker than the 3.5 to 60, can anyone confirm this?

It is not quicker but it's quick. Loaded the gap widens greatly and after a tune the 2.7 is a blip in the rear view...

CR, I know, grain of salt, but they found the 2.7 quicker to 60. No doubt the 3.5 will smoke it after that.

I'm under the impression your saying tune the 3.5 and not the 2.7....I would sure hope it could be the 2.7 if it was tuned

That's with 1000+ lbs in the bed.
Unloaded I believe it's .4 or .5 sec

I drove the 2015 5.0 for 5 days before I decided to get the 2.7l. The 2.7l felt lighter and quicker on its feet. Plus the mileage in the 5.0 was 14.5 and I get about 18 driving with out MPG's in mind in the 2.7. I know the Platinum does not offer the 2.7 just wondering if you have any second thoughts about the 5.0?
