It is an available option in Canada, at least according to the site.

Yes it is an option in Canada. I have it on my Lariat 502A.

Not sure why they would restrict it in the US unless it is for CAFE. 302A is a very popular option and the PP reduces fuel economy.

Sorry to hear this, it's unbelievable how non-transparent they are with this subject. Every truck should have in bold on the window sticker gear ratio, payload rating, etc. Same thing happen to me with my Silverado and it made me end up trading in for an F150.

Yup, get a Canadian truck. You can get everything on it with a payload package on the 2.7.

For those on mobile who can't see my signature:

2015 F150 XLT SCrew Sport 4x4 | 302A | FX4 | 2.7L EB | Payload & Tow Pkgs | 3.73 Diff Lock | Navi | Moonroof
Also not listed there is the tailgate step and side steps which you also cannot get in the US with the 2.7 Payload Package.

FWIW, I also have the 6900# GVWR and my payload is 1620 lbs, but would be much higher if I didn't have the moonroof and other things.

I found out the hard way as well that Ford has 2 payload packages for the 2.7. Complete BS, but good luck fighting that battle. Since my truck only gets maxed out a couple times a year, I'm not too worried.

I hope this is wrong. Because I have a 2.7 302a package with a payload package as well... at least that's what the window sticker said.

Dose the window sticker also say 6900# GVWR? And what does the sticker in the door jamb say for payload?

Same question to OP, what does your door sticker actually state?

Just double checked. I have the 3.73 gear ratio with a 6500# GVWR package. Also has the trailer tow package. And the door jamb confirms 6500#.

But what I meant on the door jamb is the yellow and white sticker, it will say how many lbs your payload is.

Right, so you do not have the payload package. If you did, it would be listed on its own, and you would have 6900# on the sticker.

Mine:

And my door jamb sticker states 1622 lbs payload

I do not have a payload or towing package and my payload is higher. I had forgotten how much is lost when you have a 4x4.
