Question 2.5" Level?

I have finally joined the ranks and bought a new F150. It's a 2019 LTX Sport 4WD. The first order of business is putting a leveling kit on it. I have been through the entire "Leveling Kit Thread", but I am looking for a final opinion before I hit "Confirm Purchase".

It seems as though a 2.5" level is the sweet spot for a perfectly level truck. Is that true? I would prefer no rake at all, as I do not tow very often. Also, I don't know very much about kits or installation, but I'm looking to learn.

Thank you in advance!

Congrats on the new ride! You are going to love it. I pondered the same question almost 2yrs ago and went with the 2.5 RC as it seemed like the standard. These are old pics, but will give you an idea of what 2.5 will look like on 33s.

I've been doing the same thing, going through the leveling kit thread! I believe I'm in the same position, never going to tow and seldom haul anything. From what I have found the 2 1/2" kit brings it closest to level, my only concern is wearing other parts out, some say it will and some say it won't. I'm leaning on going that route, congrats on your ride, I just got mine about a week ago!

My 11 and 13 both had 2.5, ran the 13 for 80k, no issues. More than 2.5 and the geometry gets a little scary! My main recommendation would to be do it the correct way with coil overs, the ride is far superior to pucks! Have fun with it!
I should add we still have the 11 as a company truck it has 150k on it.

You could also go 2.25 ready lift spacer. Each truck is different but I did a 2” spacer and I was about 0..25” lower still in the front. 2.5” I probably would have been slightly nose high.

I’m going to offer my own opinion because hey! That’s the whole point of forums. I have a 16 lariat screw and contemplated the exact same thing. Decided to go coils over pucks cuz I hated the nose dive and body roll. Toyed with the idea of the 2” RC vs the 2.5” Rancho. Same price, keep in mind I wasn’t doing anything to the rear suspension.

I went with the RC 2” coils (https://www.roughcountry.com/ford-le...ts-500068.html). I have about 2.5” of rake (seems to be the same as you). I’ve had it a week and honestly the first few days I drove it, I actually thought I was nose up! Then I kept measuring and the truth was in the tape, less than .5”. Now I am the same as you that I don’t tow a lot and don’t have big loads too often but yesterday I had a decent amount of wood, and after the back sink a little bit basically made it dead level. Truth is .5” or less you will never notice at first look unless you hold up a tape measure, I was scared with the 2.5” of being nose up.

below are the day after I got it and yesterday, first pic there seems to be a slight angle 2, second ground is a little more level. Let me know what you think!

Couple more items

1) I had a dealership do the install, they warrantied all the labor, just need to take the mfg on the parts.

2) make sure you pay for the alignment and headlight adjustment

3) if you really make to make sure you see 100% totally level to the measure... spend the money and go with an adjustable set like the bilstein, fox or halo.... after install you can mess with the adjustments to your satisfaction

4) regardless you will love it!

2019 STX 4x4 with the Roush (Fox 2.0) level kit installed with the stock rear block. It sits perfectly level.

Im in the same boat, been debating on doing a 2" of 2.5....leaning towards the 2.5 for the same reasons as I rarely tow

2018 FX4, 2” Motofab pucks. I tow a travel trailer dozen times a year. Rake was just under 3” factory - now just under 1”. I can’t tell there’s any rake without getting a tape measure.

first pic is factory rake on OEM 20” wheels and tires, second is with 2” level on 17” wheels and 315/70r17s

I’m looking at something similar but have the 157” wheelbase and I tow sometimes. I’m set on going with adjustable ride height coil overs but not sure which ones yet. I’m also replacing the rear shocks to match while I’m at it. I’m leaning toward Bilstein 5100 but not yet decided.
