Unless something dramatic has changed, this thing isnt ready for prime time yet. As soon as it is, ill buy one for sure.

I'll have to disagree with you on that. Even the Gen 1(granted the 2gb version) I've been extremely happy with it. Granted I did come from the old crap show My Ford Touch (sync 2) so after that thing, an Etch A Sketch would have been an upgrade.

However I do not suggest getting the Linkswell. It's the same basically as the Phoenix version, with a custom Android Launcher skin.

I check in every couple of weeks or so to follow the developments. I go back and forth on this all the time but it seems it is really only an upgrade for the folks with the 4" screens at this time. I'll continue to wait for the next generation.

I just returned mine due to several issues such as having no sound and the extremely under powered processor being so slow. I have the OEM 4" with Sync 1 and I don't believe Phoenix has ever resolved the issues with those. I have since purchased a Joying 10" head unit with an Intel 8 core processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB of storage, built-in Android Auto and Apple Carplay. I am extremely pleased to report no issues with the new unit, it is very fast and does everything as it should. I think that if you were to buy a Phoenix HU I wouldn't buy anything slower than the PX5, or PX6 processor otherwise it will be very slow loading Apps etc...

I upgraded from Sync 3 to the 12.1 7.0 Fastboot and haven't looked back. Easily my favorite upgrade to the truck. Sorry ya'll have had such a bad time with them, but Pheonix has been amazing to me in the 2x times I've called them with tech related issues.

10/10 would do again.

Friday, my longer cable arrives for my PX6, so I will probably install it this weekend. I am happy with my PX3, has a few issues that are annoying, but the ability to run Android apps and have a 12" screen far outweigh them.

So it sounds like they have issues on trucks with the 4" OEM screen. Too bad since that's the truck most likely to need one. Any 4" screen guys that don't have problems?

Default Backup camera not working.

I got a Phoenix 12.1 fastboot that I installed in a 2017 w/factory sync 1 and manual ac controls. I cannot get the back up camera to work. I have hooked up every combination of rca from the camera harness. Anybody have the same issue or figure out how to get the camera working?

Do you use the supplied speaker? Maybe plugging g it in is the issue? I have nova, but didnt like it as much as I do in my phone.
It's even the paid version

Nice launcher gives it more of a phone/ tablet feel vs the crap interface they use

Harvey,

Had the same issue. I'll be happy to help get you going. Let me know the best method to walk you through.
