Btw guys for the two usb cables for the unit, I managed to run the wire through the glove box. I used one of those wire grabber and ran it from the glove box, up to the head unit. Grabbed it, then closed the glove box slightly to have enough room to jimmy the wires through

The glove box drops down really easily and you can reach your hand up without any problem in case you didn't know. You just unclip the strut on the right side of the glove box, then push in on the tabs with the rubber bumpers on each side and the door will fold all the way down making it really easy to run wires behind it.

The how to video is on this page:

The files you need are here:

And make sure you have the canbus plugged in nice and tightly, It wasnt attached to the harness out of the box. It was a zippo lighter sized little box for me.

For anyone that has this unit I discovered a setting while playing around that increased the sharpness of the display and improved overall image clarity 10 fold.
Go to:
Settings
Advanced (code is 8861 for Phoenix radios)
Then on the right menu scroll down till you see Light Soft Control. Turn that On.
Power Cycle unit
Now go to:
Settings
Then scroll left menu down till you see Color Set.
You now have two sliders. Brightness and Contrast. I tweaked the Brightness down a bit and then upped the Contrast.
You should notice a huge improvement.
Of note, you may get a new menu during this asking about Pairing, just x or skip it.

Radio
Am i still the only one who ordered a radio Jan 25 and still has not had any shipping info or anything yet? I ordered the gen 2 and I have the sync 3 8" screen. I've emailed Phoenix multiple times and they keep saying it will ship out this week but the weeks keep going by and I've heard or seen nothing.
