I was having GPS issues, so tried plugging in the OEM antenna, it instantly gave me an awesome signal!

Don’t use their GPS, use the factory one!!

Does it just plug into the unit or you need to splice?

Will that cause Sync3 nav to not acquire a signal?

Yes, If you disconnect the factory gps antenna and plug it into the phoenix unit, sync will no longer have GPS.

Sounds like you have an option to route the factory GPS antenna to the unit, so the unit will have GPS signal for the nav, but in this case you lose the nav on the SYNC. Does it mean you can use the nav on the unit with the map apps?

I don’t have nav with my sync 3, so the factory antenna wasn’t plugged into anything. No splicing it has the same connector as the Phoenix one.

Dont believe me I don’t care lol, but it now has a much stronger signal.

I am not trying to call the guy out for suggesting this but he has been the only person so far that I have seen with the issues he is having, including the sync resolution problem and GPS signal problems. No one else I have talked to has any of the issues he describes. It weird.
I’m not the guy with resolution issues...

Got mine installed. Installed both gps antennas, is that incorrect? I haven’t used the nav yet but I will be in the morning to see how it acts. Nav doesnt work through the tablet without using an app and some type of internet connection though correct? The Sync nav will still work though with no internet connection?

Did anyone install the mic they sent? Is it needed?

My temp reads incorrect even tho I went and changed it.

I think something in my sync system is failing. The connection between the truck and my iPhone are terrible and comes and goes. It was doing the same before I installed the Phoenix. Isn’t there a part that Ford is replacing in the sync system for this?

Where did everyone run the USB input cables to keep access without pulling the screen out?

My stupid question for the day... Do you use the "console" or tablet for the bluetooth connection or connect to both? I see both on my phone in the bluetooth settings. Id rather NOT use the console but it seems like the tablet doesnt want to connect to the bluetooth very well or stay connected? Which is better and why? Its two separate systems right?
