For-11ck
Hi guys, sorry but I haven't been able to find an answer to this question. I have a 2017 XLT Screw Sport and want to add an amp and sub (from a previous truck) behind the rear seat.
I've been reading up on the For-11ck harness and am wondering if this is the one to use for only adding a sub. Can I use the power and ground in the harness instead of running a power wire through the firewall?
Also, this might be a silly question but what do I do with all of the extra speaker leads in the harness as I only need a pair for front left and another for front right signal to the amp, correct?
Thanks

I used the WPT1212 connector and plugged it into the factory connector behind the driver's side rear seat. Then you need Forscan to enable the subwoofer.
How many amps or watts is your subwoofer? That will determine whether or not you need to run a separate power and ground wire through the firewall.

Ok, here’s a bit more info:
I bought a Rockford prime sub enclosure with a 10” sub and an Alpine MRV-M250 amp together and used in last truck.
The sub is 2 ohm, 200 W RMS/400 W peak and the amp is 250 W RMS.
Ive been wanting to install this for awhile using the plug behind the back seat but didn’t want to deal with forscan and to get the dealer to enable just never became a priority due in part to my dealer being 200 kms away.
I recently read about the For-11ck and the way I’m understanding is then I don’t have to worry about forscan to enable the sub. And also, from what I’m gathering its better to tap the front speakers for source.
Its been awhile since I’ve dealt with stereo wiring so I’m just trying to make the best decision, and no, I’m not interested in cutting factory wires at all so the route I go has to be plug and play.
Thanks

For-11ck is exactly what you need, and yes tap a front speaker for signal as it's full range. Assuming that amp has high level input nothing else is needed except for a power cable from the battery which you will need for that amp.
Sorry, don’t know a lot about amps lol.
Thanks
