Default Raptor issues

I own a 2013 Raptor. I had an issue with it starting. The problem according to Ford was a corrosion on a ground wire near the spare tire. Because the problem was corrosion it wasn't covered under warranty. I threw the BS flag at them and demanded evidence. They told me I must drive it in water a lot. I couldn't believe it, I live in Las Vegas where water doesn't exist. After a long argument I paid the $600 bill and told them where to go.

i am planning to buy a raptor, 2012. 6.2L . Very nice looking car. What sort of things should i look for before buying. It has 90k miles on it. Clean title.
How much should i expect to spend if the transmission go out in next 1 year? I live i Texas and drive a lot. Other than gas, what major expense?

The MFT issues are pretty much gone now sense they wiped / reinstalled / updated everything.
mine makes what sounds to be metal tapping at 40-50mph amd 70 mph, it use to do it at 30mph. Cannot for the life of me figure it out and the dealer swears they cannot duplicate the issue. Any suggestions?
