efans....
ok, dont feel like waiting forever for tp to get the efans in stock, so i am wondering what others have done to make up thier own kits....parts and such used and how it was switched on/off by the truck ect, dont feel like having to hit a switch every 2 mins, i think lucky13 did a efan of his own, if you dont mind chiming in id be happy to hear it from ya boss!
these are the fans im using http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...232079135&rd=1
im running the dc controller. best controller on the market and for $120ish you cant beat it. it is a progressive fan controller meaning it starts the fan off slow and speeds it up as the truck warms up. it has 5 preset temps so you dont have to guess what temp your setting the truck at. the slow start is nice because it doesnt create a spike in voltage use like all other on/off style controllers. on top of that, the fans only run at about half capacity in order to maintain the 194* temp i have my controller set to so there is little voltage draw and since i have a large system, i need all the juice i can get. i also bought the dual fan wiring kit with the controller, which was only about $3 more.
temps hit 100* and even with the ac on max power my truck never got above 197*

you come up to anaheim and ill help you hook it up. actually in a week ill be doing a lift, feel free to cruise by.
so far i cant say anything bad about the dc controller. what fox forum are you on. i used to post all the time on mustangforums but havent been around for a while. the temp probe goes in the radiator. i dont like that kinds that just piggy back on the factory temp sending unit like the SPAL controller does. it too is about $50-$60 but i wanted the dc controller so i went with that. my buddy in florida has one on his fox and its hotter then hell out there and his stang runs at 180 all the time.

send me a link, ill order the controller if its that good, if it worked for you out here then it shouldnt be that bad, i was hearing water would get inside and wreck it but its not a wet area out here and i could just heat shrink it if i had to
