that's all it takes, it comes out about 25%-50% and you just pull the whole arm off the gear. it will take a lil tugging and prying to get it off, just dont break it.

He did say lift the arm. Lift it all the way up and pull out the tab.Lower the arm so it rests against the tab. Then wiggle the arm off.

Thanks again guys. I got them off. I repositioned the passenger side. Next project is to sand the arms and paint them.

Can anyone recommend a good sheen paint (brand and type) to use?
