What I use is Dawn Dish soap in a spray bottle with water mixture. Makes it super slippery so it doesn't stick prematurely.

Also instead of a squeege, use a credit card or something. Just make sure you spray the back of the tint, and the window thoroughly before applying it to the window, then once you have it set, spray the front side and use the credit card to squeege the bubbles away.

Spraying the side you are squeegeeing makes it easier to slide across, and you won't scratch the tint.

The Static Cling stuff is crap. Don't use it unless you want your windows to look ****ty blue. Trust me, EVERYONE will know you used it.
Maybe I'll skip the static... Thanks for all the tips guys, I'm gonna try to get started after I finish with the whole taking off the old tint process

It cost $170 to have a shop remove that old crappy factory "tint", which was practically clear, and have 20% percent on the back and 35% up front

It was incredibly hard to get the tint to stay on and look good. It just pissed me off.

Getting mine done over the Holidays. Local tint shop, been in business for years, told me $100 for my 94 extended cab. I would be crazy to do it myself.

Not yet. I got all the crappy purple tint off, then had to pay tuition. I'm still shopping around for prices on professional. One place has me at $130 with the windshield strip, another at $100 but I'm not sure about that one.

I have this problem of being a cheap bastard I'm gonna give my back window a shot when I get back from Michigan, and see how it comes out. That will be the test for whether or not I'm doing the whole truck myself
