Default Where is this Throttle Postion Sensor?

I was wondering where this sensor was? I don't have cruise control, and haven't messed with the throttle body except to clean it the other day. (which helped with a lot of things) I have pictures of my intake.

It's on the bottom of your throttle body - where the linkage is on top, imagine a straight rod going down the center of the throttle body, and the TPS is at the other end. You'll need to remove the throttle body to replace it.

Didn't I read someone say you have to get a gasket for the throttle body? And where is the connector to hook the multimeter up to it? So I can do those adjustments before replacing it. That is WAY out of the budget right now.

You should be able to see the wires coming out from the bottom of the throttle body. It'll be hard to see the actual TPS, because there is a little edge on the bottom of the TB (maybe for protection?)... It's probably wrapped in plastic wire loom, with 3 wires in it.

something like that - I'd have to look up my info, but I think you'll get your reading from the middle and left wires (as your looking at the wires coming out of the TPS mounted on the TB). They should be sticking out the side that points toward the IAC.

Should I do this with the engine on? Or accessory on? Engine OFF?

It's power, ground and signal. You can test it both with the power off or power on, but power on gives operating readings and allows you to check for supply voltage. Yes, engine off.

Ok I will probably do it tomorrow. I was sitting at stop lights today and it was sitting at about 800-900. I really think the throttle body clean and IAC clean helped. And the new rotor helped but there's still something missing. And I have to find out what!
