Default Where does this go?

I'm pretty sure this is a brake line I have hanging down here. I've been looking under the truck and see a little clip and all, but I just don't know where it's supposed to be held up at? It's on the driver side, rear brake. Just since my last trip off road has it been hanging down like this, and it kind of worries me.

I'm trying to get more pictures, but my email is being ungodly slow to recieve them

One looks like a parking brake cable, the other looks a breather hose for the gas tank, if it is should T off with a fitting from the other tank that goes to the EVAP canister.

The part I'm talking about is the line that runs all the way off to the right side of this picture. It plugs into the brake drum. I know it's not gas related, because there's a matching one on the other side as well. But parking brake... would there be 2 of those? My parking brake was impossible to use for a couple minutes after a hill climb I did. But it works again now

I'm still waiting on my email to receive the pics from my phone. Figures the one it got was one of the more unclear of the 4

Ya that looks like a parking brake cable cause it looks wrapped in a steel sleeve to protect it, so looks like something got caught on it and stretch the cable, which may be why your parking brake didn't work for a while. And i just saw a second hose hanging down too so thought it was the EVAP hose. Each drum has a cable that joins to 1 cable on the drivers side frame.

The next picture came in. Hopefully it's more clear! And hopefully someone knows where it's supposed to be clipped to the frame/somewhere at so it doesn't hang lower than my diff

Pay no attention to my girlfriend's exhaust system behind the truck haha

Yup parking brake , should have a clip or something up on the frame, but if it got ripped off it might be long gone. Try and compare it to the other side to see where it goes.

BTW your sway bar link looks a tad out of shape for not having one

Yep it's wrapped in a steel sleeve, and it used to rub on the shock a little bit, because there's a clean part on the shock and also the covering on the line.

That leads me to my next question, can I just zip tie this thing back up and out of the way? I would think so, but I didn't wanna learn the hard way when it comes to brakes

Ya you can zip tie it, mine rubs on my shock a bit too but its fine, still if it got stretched id wanna inspect the cables and the arm inside the drum. Along the outside of the drivers side frame, you will see the parking brake cable go into a steel block that divides it into 2 cables, it should be perfectly vertical, but if it has allot of play then one cable is stretched or broken.

But I do have a sway bar, I just went out and checked to be sure

There's a clip on the passenger side holding it there, and I found a clip that looks the same on the driver side, but it's just connected to a mess of wires and I'm pretty sure I broke the tab that holds it closed

Each side looks completely different. The cable on the driver side comes down from the frame, and the passenger side starts on the driver side frame, runs along the axle, and then to the brake over there.

Looks like a big zip tie is in order to make this easy/save me from ripping the parking break out
