Default Where does this filter go?

My truck is fairly well dismantled while I do some work on it, and I can't figure out where this filter came from. Shoulda kept it with whatever part it goes with, but here I am anyway. Any ideas? I suspect something to do with the A/C, but don't find a likely place for it in there. It's about 7-8 inches long, maybe 2 inches wide, around 1/4" thick, and it has a natural curve to it.

TIA

Hmmmm. True, but no carbed vehicles.around here in many years. Still thinking it goes in my truck somewhere, but I suppose it could go on another machine like a mower or something. I'll check that angle also.

In the air filter box is a small filter (it may connected behind the PCV valve). The picture in Post #2 is the housing for the filter in your photo. When your filter is in post #2 housing, that assembly snaps into the air filter box, held in place by a type of spring clip.

I see post #2 was edited, maybe he was talking about a carburetor but I am not.

Agree about the possibility of the PCV breather filter.

May also be the underneath filter of the evaporative carbon canister...???

Oh, I take back my guess.
The length described is too long to be the PCV filter. I haven't been under the hood of that style since 2004 though but I believe the PCV filter is 4" or less.

That is not a '94 F150 part.

The '94 breather is paper glued to a plastic funnel that fits straight inside the rectangular air filter box.

I'm going to put it aside. Maybe I'll need to work on that same piece of equipment in the future and will find it's home then. Thanks for all the input.
