Default wheel question?

I have stock 235/75/R15. I know my rim is a 15 inch with a 5 lug pattern, but that is about it. I am planning on buying some 31x10.50xR15, but I want to keep my stock tires and wheels. I want to go to a junk yard for my wheels, what do I need to know and how can I make sure I buy the right wheels for my truck? Thanks.

I whould buy 15x10 wheels 5x5.5 with stock offset.. if your planning to go bigger or wider tires you could get -32mm offset. Your stock rims will handle with 31x10.50x15`s. Most guys here run that tire on stock rims with stock height truck. You can go 4 inches wider then a rim, stock rim being 8 inches wide so you can go to 12 inch wide tires(they will bubble though).

this might help you figure out offset. i know the spelling is like European or something but its the best i could find on google. offset will determine if your tires will rub if you get much wider than stock sized tires

I know for a fact that the 31's are going to rub at full lock. I haven't lifted my truck yet. I also know I can get wheel spacers to help prevent rub.

I have 31's on my stock rims now and I dont get any rub either. Well, just a little but its a rubber splash guard that has fallen out of place and I have been too lazy to fool with it. I have actually been contemplating going to 16 inch rims so I can get more tire options and keep my current height.

Mine had 31x10.50 on 15x10 aluminum rims, they looked good and didn't rub
