It's all good! I was thinking I have done all this work on this truck and I've been oblivious to a part that would be more obvious.

I am still hoping someone has a direction to attack on this.

It's all good! I am just hoping someone familiarity with this OD light. What I need to focus on as far as getting things the way they should be. Is this a solenoid on the transmission or internal?

I thought I made a post and then it wasn't showing. So I reposted and now it appears that I did post.

Any how does anybody have any info?
A schematic, something I can I tell if I have a bad OD switch?
Is it a possibility that it could be a reason for jerking?
Like it is giving bad info and tranny doesn't know if it needs to be in one gear or another?

I know that if the O/D light is flashing, that indicates an internal problem (pressure, heat). I think you said yours is staying on ? So maybe a constant overdrive off situation ? Could this possibly be related to a faulty column switch (shot in the dark) ?
I'm not sure about your column (if I remember, I'll look at one at the shop) but on the 9th gen column, you can take off the column cover and just unplug it.
Would be interesting to see if unplugging it makes a difference.

Is your OD switch on the gear selector on on the dash left of the steering wheel?

Again, this is out of my range of "expertise" but googling around always leads me back to the speed sensor on the transmission. Actually it looks to be mounted on the transfer case.

There is also a possibility that your O/D light always being on means you have an electrical problem. You may need to chase wires. Or if you end up taking it back to the shop now you'll have a problem they will be able to diagnose relatively easily.

It's in their hands now. I hope it isn't a wiring problem from when I changed range sensor. It would seem weird since it was running fine after and then all of a sudden changed. Speed sensor would be fine with me. As long as it is not internal of the tranny.
