Just the other day I locked my keys in my truck, luckily my passenger door wasn't shut all the way, so I had a buddy pull e door open as i slipped a coat hanger in to press the unlock button! Worked like a charm

Coat hanger for the non power lock people. Not like my dad tho, he locked his keys over the weekend while the truck was still running

mine are hanging from my core support on top of the piece of rubber so you can only see them when you pull down that rubber

I did that 20 plus years ago. Since then I ALWAYS have my keys in my hand (verify visibly they are in my hand) before I shut the door. Hasn't happened since.

I locked my keys in my truck in wal mart parking lot about a month ago. The door latched, but didn't shut all the way. So I walked in wal mart, bought a flat head screw driver, and pried the metal retaining clip out from the inside of my door jam, then I pulled the door lock cylinder out of the side of the door and unlocked the door.

turns out the vent windows on these 8th and 9th gens are really easy to get into without ruining anything. Done it many times on my truck and helped numerous friends out with theirs. You just gotta see it done once and you're set. i've always just kept a small 12" long piece of coat hanger or similar somehwere amoungst the random items in my box. we could all post videos, but that may just be helping out the less honest of the population.
