Great. I've taken off the slave line so many times the plastic release collar is mutilated and the aluminum pry ridge is gone. Even the special tool isn't doing it. Can't get the roll pin out of the master side either. I knew this was going to be a problem.

Just took it out all together I see. So new slave, clutch line and master it is then?

And that is allot of clutch dust in the bell housing, I would think you are due for a new one.

Slave, master, flywheel and clutch are all new. I might get the line but it popped right off when I was able to grab both sides.

The problem with the old tranny seems to be the front main bearing, and that slop has worn out a synchronizer which keeps the main shaft spinning when it shouldn't. The replacement has some slop but not as bad.

Here is a comparison shot of the two types of slaves/lines. '88-'91 on top, aluminum slave. '92-'96 on bottom, plastic. You can use either but the lines aren't interchangable so you need the matching line and the newer takes longer bolts to hold it on.

That might be my next mod with the aluminum slave and swap the clutch line.
