What did you do to your truck today?

These threads are always fun. A place to talk about your new goodies and projects where other people actually care.

Today I'm going to tint my headlights and tail lights, and repaint my front shocks. I'm thinking about doing horizontal 1 inch stripes on the tail lights but I'm not sure yet.

I already cleaned the engine compartment with a big can of gunk engine cleaner gel, and took some black steel wool to my rims to buff them out. Today is a good cleaning day for me.

Well yesterday I won first place in the Carl Casper sound off nationals with my ext cab 95 posting a 149.8 at 28hrz with my new box design
Sick!

haha nice. I used to have a 12" kicker cvt in a shallow box with an 800 watt infinity amp behind my seat. Sounded decent, especially with such a small cab. But I took it out when I sold the truck a year ago and sold it seperately. Now that I own the truck again I'm sub-less :/

I have 2 12" audiobahns but they arent shallow mount and they're in a giant box right now so I need to sell them or trade them for a setup that fits.

Well, I've yet to hit the point of adding "cool stuff," other than one of those valve cover breather filters (ford blue) for a temporary fix until I get a new air box :thumbsup: But, thus far I've replaced/repaird;
-Synthetic oil
-Mobil oil filter
-Air filter
-Clutch MC
-Radiator & hoses
-Tranny check plug
-Coil harness
-Plugs & wires
-Vacuum lines
Yet to come...
-Slave cylinder
-Clutch kit
-Rear main seal
-Oil pan gasket
-PCV valve
-Intake gasket
-Valve cover gasket & bolts

Not "exciting" or "flashy," but fun for me none the less ;)

That's a lot of work ahead of you. I just had my master cylinder replaced. I'm hoping it's a while before the tranny has to come out for the slave though

The other night i had to fix my radiator hose at a 7-11 at midnight on my way home from work.. can't beat electric tape and duct tape for a quick fix

It's not too bad, I've got a friend who said he'd help and we can use his shop. I'm hoping by summers end to have a ZF tranny and just keep my re-vamped M5OD on hand for a spare. Getting this truck and dropping my monthly payment/full coverage is saving me close to $500/month so I'll hopefully have it right pretty soon ;)

Lol, my clutch pedal is currently repaired with rope and a home made D-clip made from spring steel. Ocassionally have to pull over and make a new one, and it ALWAYS seems to pop off passing a cemetary. But, I do have to drive through/past a dozen or so on my way to and from work ;o

if it works, it works.. someone can be the best mechanic in the world by the book but if they can't improvise, they're no good lol
