Default What is this?

Under the dash on my 1994 f150 there is this plug with about 5 pins in it. It is directly below the heater controls and it is mounted to a piece of metal via a push tab. I would like to know what this is please. Thanks.

If you leave the key in the ignition and open the door does the truck beep?

If it is just below the bottom of the dash under the heater controls, then that is the plug for a trailer brake controller.

If possible, post a picture of it so that we may see what you see.

The data link is under the glove box. And he has the 94 F150 which is OBD-I and therefore no data link inside the cab.

the OBD-I has a connection that is out under the hood, by the firewall on the passenger side.
