I'm doing my tranny and my differentials soon hopefully too and I'm going with royal purple it's expensive but you only have to do it every once in a while so that's what I would go with and from what I've heard 75w-90 if you want fuel economy and 75w-145 if you tow for the differentials and I'm using royal purple synchromax in my tranny it's supposed to be, from what I understand, a ATF specially designed for manuals that take ATF

Ps use full synthetic

I know I'm not the only one that uses castrol gtx high mileage so might wanna think about that or you could switch to full synthetic but it might cause a small leak

Take pics someone on here will get ya fixes up but I wouldn't switch to synthetic motor oil unless you were sure there was no leaks and you weren't burning any oil, but in your differentials you'll improve your mpg so synthetic is the way to go for that

Btw is your truck burning or leaking oil because the castrol high mileage is supposed to help stop leaks not much you can do for it burning oil though

I changed my oil and used GTX High Mileage. Felt a big difference, but the old oil wasn't very dirty or sludgey at all! When I do my rear end, I will be using 75w90 gear oil and will look for synthetic. If you can, pick up a Haynes Manual, or you can go to your library and pick one up.

It's a maintenance and repair manual. Should have it at any basic autoparts store. Also, should be at your local library as well. It would be better to buy it rather than rent from the library, since you will never know when you will need it

I know I'm really glad I bought it
