Weak A/C
whats all the arguing about...
the Refridgerant in your Auto and Home AC units is FREON... R-12, R-134a and R-22 are ALL FREON... R= Refrigerant......
the Number is the TYPE of Freon it is... you have many brands...Suva, DuPont and Puron to name a few...
R-12 is considered OLD freon and 134a is the newer style that will be considered old soon being phased out by the newer type...
if you want something colder than just rid of the Freon and go with either Ammonia or Propane for refrigerant....
Ammonia will get much colder than Freon and I think its safer

you really cant on our trucks or any auto for that matter unless you changed the pump to a self lubricating pump like that had back in the 50s.
the oil they use today is Soluble in the freon so that as its working it lubricates the pump... that isnt so in Ammonia... the compressor is actaully like an air compressor pump where you can drain the oil periodically and rid it of contaminates as Ammonia systems use Paraffin oils that work as a cleaner and will even carry off weld slag
