Default Water Pump Help

I need help installing a new water pump that i bought. I own a 1992 F-150. It has a 4.9L straight 6 in it. i removed everything including fan clutch, fan, radiator shroud, water pump pulley and the water pump itself. Now i was starting to put the new pump in and the slot for the blots on the pump don't line up with the slots in the block by a couple mm. the new water pump is from duralast. Autozone.com stated that it was a right fit. Here's the link to it: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...5271_381122_0_ [/URL] . Anyone have a suggestion for me on what the next step should be?

make a template of your block out of paper and go to another store and see if their brand holes lines up.

Same pump I used. You're doing something wrong.
