SO the other day my truck was pourin water out from what I thought was the timin cover gasket. Decided to change the timing cover gasket and water pump. So Monday I started tearing it apart. First I took the air box out. Don't have to I did. Next was the fan and shroud to come off. After that I unbolted the bracket that holds the Ac/ps pump. (left them all hooked up just unbolted from the block) last I pulled the water pump off. I managed to break 2 bolts so I'm currently fighting them. After seeing the water pump gasket im confident that's where my leak was so im going to change the waterpump today and re assemble.

Any tips for bolts like these? Vice grips ain't doing it?

Weld a nut to it and use a rachet

Small pipe wrench I've used them to remove studs before.

Try some Vice Grips that aren't 100 years old.

And try grinding some flat edges on it so it grabs better.

Hey hey hey there only 99... Just grinded flat spots and they still wouldn't bite imma try the vice grips a couple more times see if I can get them tighter. Then I guess I'll weld a nut on em.

Good answer, spray the PB blaster, wouldn't hurt to rap on it with a hammer to try and shock it loose.

You don't have to weld a nut on you can use a small pipe wrench like a 10" one
