Question Vibration on deceleration

Hey guys, I just got a 1993 F150 xlt 2 wheel drive. I noticed a problem when driving it home. When decelerating, not really applying the brakes there's a strong vibration, seems like over the whole truck! The steering is a little sloppy too, could this be caused by bad wheel bearings? Or could it be the transmission? I'm clueless !
I'm willing to put some time into the truck, the engine seems very strong.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Universal Joints would be my first suspect for your vibration.

Sloppy steering could be worn steering components.

Possibly the rotors and pads are gone.

Thanks! I'll park it untill after the weekend, then I'll start with new u joints, check the torque converter, and see how it drives. As for the steering, I guess I'll start with inner and outer tie rods.
I plan on keeping the truck so, I'm looking for the best place to start to make it like brand new.
Thanks again

Could also be your harmonic balancer.

I have a similar issue. When the drivetrain is engaged (accelerating or driving at speed), everything is fine. But as soon as I let off the gas above 40mph, whether or not the clutch is depressed, the vehicle shudders. I'm curious what would cause this, especially since it happens even when the clutch is pressed.

Mine is a automatic if that matters any. I hope it's something simple like the u-joints or wheel bearings.
Any way, I'm going to buy a Chilton tomorrow so I'll have an idea what you guys are talking about, LOL!
Harmonic balancer??

on the front of the motor behind the fan, and that big pulley. its rubber, if it goes to long without replacing it will ruin your timing cover... trust me... i had an oil leak on mine when i bought it and when i got in there i noticed there was a huge hole in the timing cover from a bad harmonic balancer

Thanks Ben. I'll check that out too. So, to replace it I'll just need to remove the fan and the pulley to get to it right?
