Default Truck problems

93 f150 4x4 5.8.. Since I've bought the truck I can be driving down the road and see a check engine light pop on and a dew seconds later dissapear.. And sometimes while I'm driving it'll act like it has no fuel and shudder a few times and act like it's giving out of gas.. Then it will come back to life and keep going... Any ideas?

Read the sticky thread for pulling codes and do so. Too many things to guess. My 351w CEL comes on and off only in cold weather and is flagging the EGR valve, runs fine tho

I would love to know what you do to fix this. My 92 5.0 is having this same exact issue.

Ran the codes on my truck and came up with a bad TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). I was having the exact same symptoms as you so maybe your TPS is bad as well. Ill be changing it out hopefully tomorrow so ill let you know if it fixed it for me. But I would definitely run the codes on your truck.

Defiantly pull codes anytime before you throw money into your truck. Easy way to do it: http://oldfuelinjection.com/?p=13
