Default Transfer case questions

I have a 92 F-150 with a 5.0 and a 4 speed manual tranny what manual transfer cases fit because I have a 205 I believe, that's in good condition, and would like to know if it will fit. And what t-cases come in my model truck. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!

i dont think the the 92+ bodies came with even a 4 speed. most 4 speeds came with a 208 though. i havent seen a 205 in a 80+ truck from the factory, but i'm sure a few trucks got them.

PS if the transfer case splits open in half it is not a 205.
this is a NP208

this is a NP205

this is a BW1356 this came in most 87+ fords.

Well I'm pretty sure I have the 208 in my truck right now but it's junk but I have a 205 in the shop and they are pretty much bullet proof so I'm hoping it will fit and thanks again

Almost guarantee you have a 1356. Slide under it and look for some numbers on the output side of the case...in between the filler and drain. The np 205 will not fit unless you buy an adapter.

Get hold of a 4x4 supplier or try broncograveyard.com. I'm not positive where you'll find one I've never looked into it.

So far what I have found is that the np205 will bolt up but will require driveline modification going to get the truck in my shop in the next day or two and drain the t-case and see how bad the damages are in the bw1356 that's in it
