Transfer case questions
I have a 92 F-150 with a 5.0 and a 4 speed manual tranny what manual transfer cases fit because I have a 205 I believe, that's in good condition, and would like to know if it will fit. And what t-cases come in my model truck. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!
i dont think the the 92+ bodies came with even a 4 speed. most 4 speeds came with a 208 though. i havent seen a 205 in a 80+ truck from the factory, but i'm sure a few trucks got them.
PS if the transfer case splits open in half it is not a 205.
this is a NP208

this is a NP205

this is a BW1356 this came in most 87+ fords.

So far what I have found is that the np205 will bolt up but will require driveline modification going to get the truck in my shop in the next day or two and drain the t-case and see how bad the damages are in the bw1356 that's in it
hey i have an 87 f-150 with a new crate 351 windsor i just dropped in it, i mated it to the old 4 speed with the bw1356 t-case, well my t-case died, so im wondering what other ford t-cases will bolt right up? im new to the site not new to wrenchin please any input would b great. thx
