Default transfer case

ok i have a 1994 ford f150 xlt four wheel drive single cab short bed with a automatic and push button four wheel drive i wana do a 5 speed swap but idk if my transfercase will have to be switched to manual or not has anyone done it before

You just need the adapter off of the transmission to match the transfer case, they had push button with standard and auto transmissions. Also get the manual center hump and switch with your auto hump. The humps bolt in under the carpet and using the correct hump makes installing the transmission and boots cleaner and easier.

Removing the tranny hump also gives you a little more room to remove the transmission.

I understand now about the Transfer Case. There's really I can do except do my speeding on flat ground.We've rented a house in Pacific Beach. It's about 20 minutes north of Ocean Shores. If the weather is bad we'll go down to Ocean Shores. There's a pizza place we love and the wife likes the casino.I'd like to meet up with you next summer. Sounds like fun
I say screw it, it s costs the same to rebuild one or buy a functional used one.
