trans crossmember help

Default trans crossmember help

Ok I'm workin on a 91 f150 and do all 6 bolts have to come out on cross member or just the twow on each side up towards the top of the frame and do I need to drop the exhaust at all

The four top ones on the smaller brackets just need to be loosened enough for the brackets to push up and clear the crossmember. The bolts won't come out anyways, they hit the floor.

I've got the 4.9 so my exhaust is on one side. Usually the exhaust has to at least be loosened for clearance on a V8, but you can try without.
