Default The TPS report

Ok guys changed the coolant temp sensor today that seemed to help out some but there's still some skipping. The truck has 2 full tanks of gas but it sat for over a year with this gas in it (I'm surprised it even runs) do you think this old gas is my biggest problem?? I added some Lucas upper cylinder lubricant to both tanks should i add some has treatment as well??

Here's what it does:
Cold start idles up then dies then I restart and feather throttle til it's warmed up. Since the CTS change it's idling around 7-800 RPM with a minor skip. If I ease into the throttle the truck actually pulls very well considering its skipping, however if I gun it the truck stumbles and skips worse and doesn't accelerate near as well as easing into the throttle. Do you think this could be the throttle position sensor?? The truck has fresh plugs, wires, dist cap etc. also changed fuel filter today. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

The sound it makes:
From 5-55mph I can hear a clicking from driver side front wheel. It speeds up and slows down with the truck perfectly in sync. I jacked it up and checked for play in wheel bearing there was none. Any ideas??

Thanks guys/gals it's greatly appreciated!

The title of this thread reminds me of the movie "office space".

Any suggestions?? There are no codes showing up and I can't really afford to just blindly buy parts and hope they work.

Hmmm... so no codes at all?

Whats the fuel pressure like? And yes treat the gas, nowadays it only lasts about 7-8 months untreated before it goes bad.

Well I don't have a scanner but the only time I have seen the CEL on is when I crunk the truck without the coolant temp sensor plugged up to see if it made a difference. My coil tested bad so I replaced it today and it's actually helped a lot. I think I'm gonna hold off til I burn all this old gas out to buy anything else for the engine.

Do you have any idea what could cause the clicking/tapping sound?? I checked for play in wheel bearing there is none what so ever. Also took off my center cap cuz I thought it may of been that but nope it's still there.

You don't need a scanner. Read the sticky at the top of this section.

X2 on pulling codes^^ check the voltage on the TPS should be .6 volts for no throttle, all the way up to 4.5 volts at WOT.
