Tps?
I have a 93 f150 4x4 with the 300 6 and when I cold start it it fires and doesn't take off right away. If I give it a little gas well cranking it it takes off and runs great! Idles fine! Then starts normally at temp! I'm thinking Tps but I'm not sure! Any ideas?
The starter turns it over at normal speed?
Not sure what this is, but Here is your degree in Throttle Position Sensory

"A faulty TPS can cause driveability problems such as
hesitation, stalling, an erratic idle, pinging (spark
knock), no torque converter lockup, hard starting, an
intermittent check engine light while driving, poor
fuel economy, and generally poor engine performance" (Wells CounterPoint)

Someone suggested to me to look into my starter solenoid (passenger fender mount ) I haven't had time due to school but I bet its an issue. He said his would slug start when the temperature changed.
Know the fuel test ritual?
Know the fuel test ritual?
Well you are able to eventually get it started, but the ritual involves various tests to see which part of the fuel system is defective. That's usually when the vehicle doesn't run though. On the other hand, I recently heard of the in tank pumps letting gas flow back into the tank overnight. The fix is a new pump there. Before you start your truck, look for the tire valve (actually called Schrader valve) on the fuel rail, and depress the pin inside to see if gas shoots or dribbles out. Not much will because the truck is cold, but there my be some. If none, then turn the key on but dont crank. Can you hear the fuel pumps whine? Normally they run for like, three seconds then the system is up to pressure. If yours run for a while longer then maybe the gas is siphoning back into the tanks or the pumps aren't up to snuff...try the valve thing, the prime the pumps, then check the valve again. Should be good pressure there. Don't wash your eyes out with it please. Ha. From there, turn the key on until the pumps stop making noise, then key off. Key on, pumps run for a bit, key off. You should not have started the engine yet. Do that key on off thing a few more times then try to start it. Yes my instructions are a bit ***** nilly but its difficult to edit and proofread while im laying in bed on my phone. Hahaha
