My dad has an old Craftsman. OLD like still made out of chrome With a dot button of a trigger and GET THIS. A spring nipple that you put on the #1 cap and plug the plug wire into the nipple and the device actually uses an insulated (not very well insulated) aligator kind of clip.
I remember once using it on my old 78. Chest accross the metal grill. I thought everything was insulated and connected correctly apparently not because it was missing and I touched something and with my chest across that metal grill... Man I though a DONKEY kicked the living **** out of my chest! I just always borrow his.

Ever watch somebody put their elbow down on metal that is in their welding current??? Some nice new dance moves right there. Never laughed so hard in my life.

well i think the problem is.. i was just being a dumbass and didnt ground it correctly.. apparently the ground on the battery isnt good enough you gotta put it on the block somewhere.. thanks for the help guys.. if it happens again ill be sure and get a different brand.
