Default throttle position sensor

Got a 95 f150 4.9 4x4 5 speed and was curious is there any adjustment needed when replacing a throttle position sensor? Or is it a un bolt and bolt back on job?

There is an adjustment/test but we'll need to let one of the experts here tell you OR, you can search the forums for specific instructions. Also, it is recommended that this sensor should be a Motorcraft and not generic.

Yep, MOTORCRAFT is the only brand to use, otherwise you'll just have problems. Pretty much it's just bolt on, you'll want to make sure that the wires are pointing the same direction (TPS oriented the same way as the one that came off). Now I got super lucky and didn't need to adjust my TPS when I replaced it but it can be adjusted by loosening the two screws and playing with the way it's seated. You want to shoot for .9-.97v closed throttle, 5v WOT, smooth increase as it's opened up.

Called the parts store to price the TPS and they said there are 3 different ones and that I needed to get the part number off the one I have. But the only numbers on the one I have doesn't match anything they have. Called the ford dealership and they said there is only one for the 4.9. What gives? Which one do I have?

If the dealer said that there is only 1 then did you get the part number? If you did then give that number to the parts store.

EV118 is the one you need. Under 95 I am finding 3 PCV valve options for the 4.9 as well. While looking that up I came across the reason PCV valves should be motorcraft (at least my working theory), the motorcraft # for each engine option was different yet a lot of the other manufacturers had the same part # listed for the 4.9, 5.0, and the 5.8.

Here's another question. When I touch the volt meter to the middle wire what kinda volt should it read with the throttle closed? Mine read .08. Should I adjust the throttle screw to we're it reads .00?

Don't touch the throttle screw. It is not there for you to play with. Period.
You have to loosen the screws that hold the TPS and move it until it reads .9. That's the reading on the (black) signal wire.
Not .8, not .99, not .95. - .9 That's where it has to be.
