Default Thinking about a Visor!?

Ive been thinking of getin a visor for my 91 f150 reg cab, Ive never really seen one off a truck and my question is how difficult are they to install? And perhaps a good source to purchase one?

Im certain I have the tools, for it since ive been collecting tools long before I could drive.

they are not difficult at all to install. basically you put it in the position you want, with a sharpie you mark where the bolt holes are on the roof. then you take the visor down and drill those holes a bit smaller then the screws/bolts you are using. once thats done place the visor back in position and screw it to the roof, place the caps over the screws and your down. ill take some pictures of my truck today, it has a visor

nope no reason to not get a used one. i pulled mine off of a truck at the local junkyard they were literally about to crush, $20 and 1/2 hour later it was installed on my truck. PLUS it just happened to be white too so that helped out a lot.

here is my truck with the visor, i know i know the tires are not big enough...i have a set of 33" BFG's on blacked out rims, but am using the smaller tires for the MPG to and from work

i like the looks of them from afar, but when you get close and look at the underside you see that it open and rough underside of it. i looked them up and there about $300.00. i would imagine over time they will crack, after all there fiberglass and they have to take a lot of force from the wind pushing them up. to bad they didnt box in the bottom and make them as nice as the top.

I was thinking the same thing hotrod, as soon as I find one Im gonna see what i can do about fabricating the underside, I have a buddy who has taken areodynamics courses for engineering, I tend to pick his brain from time to time. I will def get some pictures of my truck up here, as well as the visor job.
