I will provide an alternative.........

Delphi makes the Motorcraft TPS, so if $$$ is truly a concern, you can get a Delphi unit and be ok.

This is just partial of the test. You must google the rest if you want to completely test the tps.

Check this video out. It's on a Mustang but the TPS is pretty much the same.

Honestly ? You know, I get really PO'd when I post something to help people out and somebody's gotta get in there and say "Oh you should have said this" or "that's not a complete description". If you know how to test the TPS better than I do why didn't you post something to help out ???? REally !

I asked you about ohms testing it in post 2.. I can`t help you if you get mad about your self. My be you should use google! Looks to me your trying to boost your numbers on your own post. There is a resistance test people should do on the tps. If people only do half the testing they only get half the results. The tps is a vary important senor but I pull codes first and measure vac before testing the tps. As steadied before the tps can test ok and still be faulty. And don`t for get a new tb gasket at the parts store.

Red lead to battery positive, black lead to TPS green wire. Should show battery voltage (11 - 12 volts)
Also can you verify this testing procedure is right? I don`t see it in my testing procedure. My be I should google it!

Just to verify your red wire should be orange and that is vfer and it has 5 volts. The green wire is the tps wire and the black one is sign-return. I don`t think I would be sending 12 volts down the tps wire that usually only sees no more then 5 Volts. This 12 volts your sending is going to the eec. I don`t know weather it will damage the eec or not, but I won`t without knowing this info.

I posted the procedure for testing the TPS. It works. Not trying to provide a mechanic's certification course, just wanted to help some people figure out how to see if their tps is working or not. Period.
If you want to do a better, more clear and concise write-up on the subject, go ahead.
