I just avaraged my mpg and according to it im getting a little over 9 mpg. 87 300 4spd short bed reg cab. Has 31 tires. I drive about 10 miles a day. I got about 150 miles and 16 gal tank of gas. There is something def wrong here seeing i should be getting about 15 mpg.

 

Driving short distances, 31" tires and no overdrive, sounds about right.

 

I have over drive. And its not stop and go traffic its a straight run about 5 miles each way

 

Doesn't matter, it will get lousy mileage cold. 5 miles isn't far enough to warm up. You really have a 4wd TOD 4 speed?

 

Oh you didn't say 4wd. I don't know why I thought that. I like that transmission.

 

I like it a lot as well. My clutch started slipping after 1st gear last fall.
I do not drive it in the winter, so I plan on putting a new one in this spring. But I really liked that transmission.

 

Yes 4-4 i gues thats what it is. Its not the t18. I like it too. I think my engine is shot tho. It skips terrible when it gets warmed up sometimes worse than other days. I let the truck warm up quite a bit usualy too. Since it has no power i really have to mosh on it so thats probly why. And its got a dead cyl. Gotta get the other motor in i have.

 

You have a dead cylinder and you don't know why you're getting terrible mileage? Um...

 

Well i didnt really figure it would burn that much extra gas. For 1 the dead cyl shouldnt be burning much if any. Ya i understand the others are gonna burn a little extra to makr up for it

 

It still sprays gas into the dead cylinder.
