temp gauge/sensor?
The initial problem was the temp gauge would only move about 3/8 of the way between hot and cold. I figured it should be about halfway after running it at 70mph for 2 hours..
so i tested the temp sensor. and found it was not puttin out the correct ohms for the temperature of the water. and replaced the sensor.
but the gauge still sits like it did.
is that where the gauge should sit at operating temp?

oh! im sorry.

I tested it the way the Chilton manual said to. put the tip of the sensor in water and heat the water. keep an ohmmeter on the sensor and thermometer in the water. the manual tells you what the temp-ohms should be.
so I guess if I really want to know the temperature while driving I need a better gauge.
