Default Taking the cab off

Hello guys

I dont think I ever mentioned it, but I have a 95 F250 also, its a powerstroke. Anyways, I may be gettign a wrecked Dodge 2500 off a guy by working it off him, and I plan on using the cummins and putting it all on the ford frame (Since the ford frame is the bigger and stronger of the two) Well I was goign to take both cabs and beds off (Guy gets to keep the bed cause its rhino lined) and I plan on doing it this way so I can get measurements and do things right. Well I want to know how you guys lift your cabs off the frame, cause I plan on lifting it up just enough to pull the frame from under the cab then set the cab down. Yes I am going Cummins cause I am making a pull truck, a Exhibition truck. And I may drop the Powerstroke down in the 61 Thunderbird (I am a diesel head) but I appreciate the help. Thanks guys.

I changed the frame on my '72 LeMans by myself. I only had help removing the hood and reinstalling the hood and front bumper. I used a really big garage type floor jack, blocks, and 2x4s. I cut four 2x4s the length of the rockers and nailed together two, one double for each side. I raised the body high enough to set the 2x4 supports on blocks, then did the other side. You have to make sure the 2x4s don't kick out in your face, so after getting it on the first block I connected both sides with more double 2x4s. I don't remember exactly how I did that but I think after doing side and side first I did front and back because the connectors were running to the sides, the added connectors were under the rocker 2x4 supports. So the 2x4 connectors were now on the block, then the rocker 2x4 supports, then the body.

Something like that. I didn't take notes but I could figure it out again if I had to.
