Default Clunking Sound

Hey people,

I recently inherited an 87 F150 XLT Lariat 2WD. I love it, but I've noticed going around corners (tight corners, like in rural neighborhoods), I will hear a single clunk coming from the rear somewhere. Any ideas what this could be, and could it be serious? I'm kinda broke atm (yay $180,000 in college loans!).

Thanks for any help you can provide.

u-joints? with the truck off and in neutral with the parking brake on, try to turn the driveshaft around with your hand to see if theres play in the u-joints.

Can you feel the clunk or just hear it? A differential with a broken tooth on a side or spider gear can make this sound but wouldn't do it going straight...but usually would do it to some degree any time you turn not just tight right handers.
Check shock and spring bushings and bolts. Do you have a rear sway bar?
Check the front sway bar bolts and bushings as well...sounds travel in a frame and can sound like they are somewhere they are not.

Can feel the clunk if I'm listening for it. Truck is 100% stock. I'll check all that out and see what I can find.

Question fix it

take to the scrapyard and go get chevy lol seriously tho im having the same problem on my f150.mine is a standard shift it does it every time i take the parking brake off and back up.or when i make a stop and turn.there doesn't seem to be any play in the drive shaft.i probably go ahead and replace the ujoints there cheap enough, and after looking around here i wanna take the cover off the differential and inspect them.
